TRIO TO LEAVE? WES LATEST

Linked to Blackburn!
By Rocky64 June 2 2008
"In the summer time when the weather is high, you can stretch right up and touch the sky" The lyrics of a famous song by Mungo Jerry. At the moment though Blackpool fans won't be stretching up to reach the sky, instead seasiders will be stressing into the palms of their hands as the news of more possible exits from the club reaches the net.
One Burnley fans site suggests that the Dingles are chasing defender Stephen Crainey. The defender who signed on a free for Blackpool after been released by Leeds United last summer is subject to a £250,000 bid according to the site. Which claims "that Burnley are on the verge of completing a £250,000 move for Blackpool left back Stephen Crainey".

If this is true I think it's safe to say that it's devastating especially with only Danny Coid as cover.

Meanwhile another Seasiders defender could also be going through the exit door. Kaspars Gorkss has attracted the interest of Preston, QPR, Burnley and Watford. One internet report claims that the attracted parties are "ready to test Blackpool's resolve by making summer bids for Kaspars Gorkss."

Although the door is currently open for clubs to come in for Gorkss, due to his £250,000 release clause, our sources indicate that talks over a new contract for Gorkss are ongoing between Blackpool FC and the player representatives and there is hope that the player will be here next season.

Even though Gorkss future isn't clear at club level, his international career is certainly flourishing. He took part in Latvia's victory over Lithuania in the Baltic Cup. Kaspars also scored the first goal on the 57th minute, meeting a corner and smashing it home.

As we all know Mark Hughes is now in talks with Man City about taking over there vacant managers position. But this has led to rumours of his replacement, with many pointing at Simon Grayson as a possible replacement.       The chance to manage a Premier League club will no doubt be too much to resist or Larry and if he goes. Former player Micheal Jackson will be in line to take over the managers position at Bloomfield Road.

Finally to follow up on last weeks report on Wes's move to Norwich. We've been informed that the deal still looks likely to go ahead and will be confirmed sometime this week, possibly today. Although there has been some  last minute interest from another championship side. We'll have more as we get it.
