He missed that pen!
However we will start this round up of speculation with updates on Dickov and Joe Martin. Martin recently announced his interest in returning to Blackpool and that looks more then likely to happen over the summer, but is likely to be a season long loan. Whilst Paul Dickov is still mulling over several contracts from many countries. From Toronto to Perth Glory there is dozens of teams chasing him, however he has told the Simon Grayson that he will be first to know what’s happening.
Anyway onto the good stuff; the transfer rumours! The Blackpool Gazette has revealed Blackpool’s latest two targets. Starting with Noel Hunt. Hunt, currently of Dundee United is said to have a price tag of £250k. However Grayson is a huge fan and had a bid for the striker rejected in January. Grayson looks to make yet another offer over the course of the week. Hunt scored 18 SPL goals last season and only has 12 months left on his contract.
Meanwhile we’ve been linked to Joe Martin’s brother! David Martin is a goalkeeper who currently plays for Liverpool Football Club. He was signed from MK Dons as a teenager as a hot prospect, But Liverpool would now like to see him secure some experience playing first team football.
Leaving the door open for Blackpool to make a season long loan for the ‘keeper. Blackpool seems keen to secure another defender to keep the pressure on first team shot stopper Paul Rachukuba.
Another player we have been linked to is striker Andy Bishop, the Bury front man is highly rated by Grayson after smashing in 25 goals last season. However Bury have slapped on a 400k price tag which has led to Grayson’s interest dissolving. One striker whose future could be with us is Andy Morrell, according to the Blackpool Gazette, the football club are hopeful of announcing news around the player today. Whether it’s good or bad. Morrell of course has been offered reduced terms and told that he will only be kept on as a squad player; it’s in his hands to accept those terms.
