The Saddlers will be looking to over come their 2-1 defeat against Lincoln City on Friday night, when the visit Edgeley Park to take on an in-form Stockport County who have won their last seven games without conceding a single goal in those seven games.

With the game been a must win game for The Saddlers, they will be looking to bring young central defender Scott Dann into the side in an effort to make their back line more solid, as they struggled to stop a well organised Lincoln City attack in the first half of Friday nights game.

It was a surprise when Dann was left out, because he scored a wonder goal to rescue a point in the previous home game with Rochdale, and set up the Saddlers' goal in the 3-1 defeat at Hartlepool, but showed manager Richard Money that he is worth a place in the first team when he came on in the second half to help the Saddlers defence.

Another central defender who will be looking to make a return to the first team, will be Anthony Gerrard who has lost his place since picking up an ankle injury in the game against Rochdale at Bescot Stadium, which ruled him out of the last two games against Hartlepool United and Lincoln City, but long term absence Allan Picken is still recovering from a knee injury despite playing in a few games for The Saddlers second string.

Stockport, who have managed to move into the play offs following their disappointing start to the season will now be looking to join The Saddlers in the race for automatic promotion and if they manage to win tomorrow night, it will look more likely with them been just 5 points behind a Walsall side, who could lose their lead at the top of League 2.

Walsall manager Richard Money has said he wants to bring in a couple players in on loan, including an attacking wide player, the fans however will be hoping that at least one of players will be signed up ready to feature in the squad tomorrow night.

He has announced that he wants to bring in a players, with the team currently in its worst run of form this season, which will not help matters, Walsall have only managed to win just one win in six games, having conceded five goals in the last two, against their promotion rivals.

Unless the Saddlers can amend their form of late, the hope of getting automatic promotion will be over and they will have to start looking to consolidate a play-off spot, which will be a disappointment for both the fans an the football club itself.

Manager Richard Money said: "We have lost two in a row for the first time this season, but after the last two performances we can go to Stockport in buoyant mood, roll up our sleeves... and off we go."
