A disapointing result to end the day as Albion go down to Saracens after development side had put on 50 points against Midsomer Norton.

For the second week in a row Albion Ladies had to fight against the weather, with heavy showers and strong cross winds, as they took on Saracens II who currently sit in second place in the table.

Albion had a disappointing start to the game by conceding a try in the first minute. Saracens completely dominated the game for the first 20 minutes and Albion played some disappointing rugby being let down by personal skills.

During the first half Albion lost both Claire Steer and Barbara Jensen to injuries which will have to be assessed this week to see if they will be fit for the away match next Sunday.

Albion seemed to find their feet around the 20 minute mark by digging deeper but it was not enough to record a win. They were working hard and this enabled them to gain a try through Anna Shepard a minute before half time.

Despite the half time talk being about dominating their possession the second half performance did not improve, although it was not for the lack of trying.  Neither side added much to the score and seemed to be hampered by some of the decisions made by the official. Tracy Corby did run in her second try of the season.

Despite the ball being taken over the line by Albion in the dying minutes the referee did not see the touch down and awarded a 5 metre scrum which was disappointing to say the least.

During training this week the ladies will be working on ways to get into the game at the start of a match as they did very well against Wasps last month.
