Latics Round Up (De Zeeuw/Camara/Curtis Davies)
By Alan G March 27 2007
Arjan de Zeeuw is back after two and a half months out through injury. Also, there has been plenty of idle speculation regarding the arrival of Curtis Davies, and the departure of Henri Camara.

De Zeeuw returns.

Arjan de Zeeuw is fully fit after being sidelined since November with a damaged second metatarsal. He made his first appearance since the injury against Fulham and is now raring to go.

"I've got my first game back in the team out of the way and I'm looking forward to a nice run of games” said de Zeeuw.

"The Fulham game was probably a nice one to come back in.

"It was a great feeling being back involved. When I went out to warm-up before the game, I thought 'I've really missed this'."

Camara Shenanigans

Henri Camara has been linked with Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers in addition to the earlier interest from Tottenham Hotspurs. Wanderers boss Fat Rops Allardyce is reported to value Camara at £3 million, and maybe preparing for a close-season swoop. Camara has been silent on the subject.

Curtis Davies

More idle Latics speculation sees West Bromwich Albion centre-back Curtis Davies the apparent target for a Jewell super-swoop. If there is indeed any truth to the story, Latics are sure to have stiff competition from other clubs (notably Portsmouth), for the WBA captain’s signature.
