Wigan v Newcastle Preview
By Neil Gunner February 25 2007
Wigan set to start with tuesday's goalscorer Caleb Folan despite picking up a knock midweek. Henri Camara is still on the comeback trail but has not quite reached match fitness yet although could hold a place on the bench.
Wigan this week appealed against Fitz Hall's red card which he picked up against Watford but was unsuccesful. His ban starts today.

Newcastle have Scott Parker fit again for their trip to Wigan after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Probable teams :

Wigan : Filan, Jackson, Kilbane, McCulloch, Boyce, Skoko, Johansson, Landzaat, Baines, Granqvist, Haestad, Valencia, Folan, Unsworth, Taylor, Cywka, Aghahowa, Heskey, Baines, Nash.

Newcastle : Given, Harper, Srnicek, Solano, Babayaro, Taylor, Bramble, Onyewu, Moore, Huntington, Butt, Parker, Milner, Duff, N'Zogbia, Pattison, Martins, Dyer, Sibierski, Luque, Carroll, LuaLua.

Referee : Alan Wiley (Burntwood, Staffordshire)

Wigan remain upbeat after their last three performances were very positive and could/should quite easily have resulted in three straight wins.

A goal from Jason Roberts gave Wigan all three points in their first ever League meeting with Newcastle at the JJB in October 2005 - a victory that sent the then Premiership new boys to the dizzy heights of second in the table. Now they desperately need to maintain their 100% home League record against the Magpies.
