Adrian Sutil dominated the track time for Midland F1 Racing this morning during the first free practice at the Nurburgring, and outshone his more experienced team mates by posting the 10 fastest time out of the 16 drivers that posted times.

Sutil, on home soil, must have been queued up at the end of the pit lane as literally as soon as the session started he was straight out on track to complete an installation lap. He was followed quickly by the teams race driver pairing, who also completed just one installation lap.

Sutil was next for Midland F1 to take to the track again after a 10 minute check over in the garage. Despite a couple more visits to the pits, the German dominated the next 40 minutes of the session for the team and slowly improved his lap times.  A quick query to our sources in the Midland F1 garage revealed that the circuit was very dirty and slippery and hence only the 3rd driver was out there setting times.

Both the race drivers joined in with only 11 minutes of the session to go. Tiago Monteiro set a series of progressively quick times starting with a 1.37.332 and ending on a 1.36.062. Christijan Albers meanwhile set a scorching 1.35.985 on his first flying lap, but was unable to improve on it. Whether that was due to traffic or tyres is unclear at this point.

The second free practice session starts in 2 hours time and MF1O will be there following every lap.
