'We have to accept we're not that quick here'
By Karl King August 3 2008
After a hot qualifying session in Hungary, the Force India drivers ended the session with times placing them both on the back row of the grid - their times some way off their nearest competitors. Giancarlo Fisichella will, however, benefit slightly after the demotion of Sebastien Bourdais from 14th to 19th for blocking Heidfeld. This will push the Italian up from 19th to 18th on the grid.

Adrian did not look particularly comfortable during the session. He had an off-track excursion resulting in a near-miss with the wall and ultimately his fastest lap time was half a second slower than that of his team mate.

"The tyres did not behave as we expected and I had lots of graining, which meant we couldn't get a good balance out of the car," Adrian explained. "I decided to run the harder set of tyres in the end for my fastest lap, but at least I didn't get the effects of the graining with them."

Fisi said, "conditions today were tough but actually that was the maximum we could do. The target was to do a 1min 21.7 or 21.8 and we did a 21.6 so that was the most we could get out of the car," although his 21.6 was still more than three tenths slower than Rubens Barrichello who's one place ahead.

"The balance was not too bad, but unfortunately the grip level is still very poor. I think we're not particularly quick round here and we have to accept that, but we are still quite close we are to the others."
