Paul Ricard Test Day2: Kubica completes 135laps

On the second day of testing in Le Castellet, Robert Kubica covered a total of 135 laps on the "Circuit Paul Ricard" for the BMW Sauber F1 Team. Under changeable weather conditions, the BMW Sauber F1 Team today concluded the work on the car's setup with regards to the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. Robert evaluated different aero and suspension specifications and tested tyres.

Programme: The BMW Sauber F1 Team today concluded the work on the car’s setup with regards to the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. Robert Kubica evaluated different aero and suspension specifications and tested tyres. Although the short version (3.593 km) of Circuit Paul Ricard offers a significantly higher grip level than the streets of Monte Carlo, the team achieved good progress with the F1-08 car in high downforce configuration. The car ran without technical problems for the whole session enabling the team to finish the scheduled test program despite a rain caused break right after lunch.

What comes next: The BMW Sauber F1 Team will continue testing in Le Castellet for one more day. Tomorrow Nick Heidfeld will be the driver. On a longer (5.255 km) and faster layout of Circuit Paul Ricard preparation for the Canadian Grand Prix will be on the schedule.
