2007 Season Review: Further Facts and Figures

It takes the F1.07 2.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and another 2.6 seconds to reach 200 km/h. We present further interesting facts and figures regarding the BMW Sauber F1 Team during this year's Formula One World Championship. .


The F1.07 requires 55 metres or 2 seconds to come to a standstill from a speed of 200 km/h.

The brake pads reach temperatures of 1,000 degrees Celsius.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team took six to eight engines, four Chassis, 160 wheel rims and 100 radio sets to each Grand Prix.

Five trucks were used to transport the cars and equipment in Europe.

Seven trucks were needed to transport the motorhome facilities, four of these form an intrinsic part of the complex motorhome construction.

37 plasma screens are located in the team's two-story motorhome.

1,000 eggs, 1,800 bread rolls, 120 kilos of meat, 90 kilos of fish and 100 kilos of pasta were consumed by team members and guests on an average Grand Prix weekend. In addition, 800 litres of water and 1,500 litres of soft drinks were consumed per race.

In 2007, the BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane Park was set up seven times: in Kuala Lumpur, Barcelona, Silverstone, at the Nürburgring, in Rome, Warsaw and Shanghai.
