Reserves Travel To Birmingham
By Mark Heys April 18 2006
The Wanderers reserves are looking to record their third win in quick succession as they travel to Birmingham City later this evening.
Jimmy Phillips has been able to name some experienced players in his squad for the last two games against Wigan Athletic and Middlesbrough and this has paid off handsomely as the club recorded back to back victories for the first time this season.

Just under four weeks ago the second string shared out four goals with Birmingham at the County Ground as Jared Borgetti and Johann Smith got themselves onto the scoresheet.

Smith is in the starting line up again tonight and there is also a place on the substitutes bench for England U16 youth international Tom Brocklehurst after some impressive displays in the Academy teams.

Spanish deadline day recruit Oscar Perez is the most experienced player in the Bolton eleven at just 24-years of age and he is joined by fellow midfielder Dale Whitehead who spent the last week on trial at Tranmere Rovers.

Birmingham include experienced quartet Medhi Nafti, Julian Gray, Jamie Clapham and Mario Melchiot and here is also a place for the giant Czech international defender Martin Latka.
