Reserves In Lancashire Senior Cup Action
By Mark Heys March 20 2006
Bolton reserves will progress through to the final of the Lancashire Senior Cup if they manage to beat local rivals Preston North End in Leyland tonight.
It is the first time since their win over Blackburn Rovers in August that the second string have been involved in this tournament. Midfielder Dale Whitehead scored the all important winner against Rovers in a pulsating penalty shoot out after the score at full time was tied at 1-1.

Both teams must include some experience players in their given line ups as part of the competition rules and North End have obliged by naming six of the first team's fringe players in their squad which makes the short journey to the County Ground.
