It's a local derby for the Wanderers reserves this evening as they tackle neighbours Manchester City at the County Ground in Leyland.

It's a local derby for the Wanderers reserves this evening as they tackle neighbours Manchester City at the County Ground in Leyland.
City defeated Jimmy Phillips side earlier on in the season at the Sport City complex in Manchester in the rearranged fixture which was originally abandoned due to a small fire.
Bradley Wright Phillips twice got on the scoresheet for the Mancunians on that cold night back in November and Ishmael Miller added the winner from the penalty spot as midfielder Robert Sissons could net only a mere Bolton consolation.
Wanderers will hope their recent poor record against the Citezens at this level is broken sooner rather than later but it will be no easy task against last seasons reserve league pace setters.
Former England keeper Ian Walker and full back Nicky Hunt make rare appearances for the Trotters reserves whilst Henrik Pedersen continues on his comeback trail following a long term achillies problem in the winter.
Claudio Reyna, David Sommeil and the long serving Nicky Weaver are just some of the more well known players on show in the City squad.
