Bolton reserves drew their second game in succession as they battled out a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa at the Bescot Stadium earlier this evening.

Bolton reserves drew their second game in succession as they battled out a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa at the Bescot Stadium earlier this evening.
Six days ago the second string gained a point on the road against Liverpool and it was a similar kind of tale in the Midlands tonight in a game which had no real spark of note.
Bolton keeper Ali Al-Habsi made a good save from Villa striker Shane Paul in the 17th minute following some good work by want-away South American full back Ulises De La Cruz.
Paul later had a second half header saved by the Omani international who was appearing in the Wanderers reserves for the first time since the squad break in Dubai last week.
The Trotters welcomed back former Welsh international Gary Speed for the game.
