Reserves Away At Birmingham Tonight
By Mark Heys November 8 2005
Bolton Wanderers reserves hit the road this evening as they travel to the south to take on Birmingham City at Damson Lane in Solihull.
Results haven't always gone the way of the Wanderers second string this season but they are boosted by an uplifting 3-2 win at home to Sunderland on Monday of last week.

Birmingham have had a mixed season so far but they still remain in mid-table six points in front of Bolton who are now second from bottom with a couple of games in hand on their rivals.

The Blues won this corresponding fixture 2-0 in February of this year whilst the previous September saw a Joey O'Brien goal earn the Wanderers a 1-1 draw at the County Ground in Leyland.

Trotters coach Jimmy Phillips names a young side but Fabrice Fernandes, Ricardo Vaz-Te and Martin Djetou do have first team experience in the Premiership.

Midfielder Carl Motteram returns to the Birmingham line-up after almost six months out with a cruciate ligament injury. Alex Bruce, the son of Blues manager Steve, lines up in defence after being recalled from a loan spell at Tranmere Rovers recently.
