Reserves Travel To City
By Mark Heys October 11 2005
Bolton Reserves will be hoping to get a recent defeat against Aston Villa out of their system as they make the short journey to Sport City this evening to take on local rivals Manchester City.
Last Monday's hammering by the Villans was a demoralising defeat for the second string but they will pick themselves up and dust themselves down against Steve Wigley's City team.

Bolton have failed to beat the Citezens at this level since a Mario Jardel double gave them a 2-1 home win in the Manchester Senior Cup game of two seasons ago so they will be hoping to put that recent record to rest once and for all tonight.

Reserve boss Jimmy Phillips once again includes some experience in his team as Ian Walker, Fabrice Fernandes, Abdoulaye Faye and Jared Borgetti are all once again included.

Senegal international Khalilou Fadiga also gets a run out for Bolton having returned to the Reebok Stadium early following an ill-fated spell out on loan to Championship side Derby County.

City have lost just once in the FA Premier Reserve League all season, this coming in the last game when a late Daryl Murphy goal gave Sunderland all three points at the Stadium of Light.

City news will appear here soon.
