Second String Take On Villa
By Mark Heys October 3 2005
Bolton Wanderers reserves are in action this evening as they face Aston Villa at the County Ground exactly a year after the corresponding fixture last season.

In that game twelve months ago Irish midfielder Joey O'Brien scored a stunning goal to give Wanderers a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw and manager Jimmy Phillips will be hoping to match or better that result this evening.

Polish defender Jarostaw Fojut will resume his place in the Bolton back four after his breif flirtation with the first team set up last week. Wanderers also include some experienced names in their team for this game such as Jared Borgetti, Abdoulaye Faye, Ian Walker, Fabrice Fernandes and Ricardo Vaz-Te.

Villa reserve boss Kevin MacDonald will be hoping to extend his sides unbeaten start to the reserve league season as they travel up to the North West.

Welsh international full back Mark Delaney is in amongst the travelling Villa contingent as is on-loan Leeds midfielder Eirik Bakke and the one time Arsenal reserve Stuart Taylor.

Central defender Gary Cahill is no stranger to this part of the country having spent the large majority of last season out on loan at Championship side Burnley.
