It leaves the men from Molineux still looking for their first reserve win of the season whilst Bolton will be satisfied to have taken something positive from the game despite their inexperience.
Bolton keeper Chris Howarth made some important saves to deny Ioan Ganea and Martin Riley in the first half whilst former Aston Villa stopper Stefan Postma had to be alert at the other end following chances by Johann Smith and Jarostaw Fojut.
On 68 minutes Romanian international Ganea smacked his mazy effort against the Trotters crossbar with Fojut clearing the follow up from Thomas Stewart off the line.
The scoreline is a repeat of last season's corresponding fixture back in April.
