Former England goalkeeper Ian Walker is named in the Wanderers goal for the visit of the Red Devils, whilst there is also a start for teenage striker Ricardo Vaz-Te, who recently starred in the Toulon tournament with the Portugal U20 team.

First year Academy scholars Johann Smith and Scott Jamieson make the Bolton reserve team for the first time since signing for the club at the end of last year.
