Win Comes At A Cost For Davo

Kevin Davies
By Mark Heys April 13 2008
Yesterday's goal and win against West Ham United came at a price for Bolton striker Kevin Davies as not only did he dislocate a finger, he also picked up a booking which will rule him out of the away trips to Middlesbrough and Tottenham Hotspur.

Davies scored the only goal of the game shortly after half time but his Man of the Match performance was tainted when he was booked for a foul on West Ham substitute John Pantsil.

The big forward is now out for the next two games and this could open the door for either Stelios Giannakopoulos, Heidar Helguson or the on-loan Grzegorz Rasiak.

Alternatively, skipper Kevin Nolan could be pushed further forward alongside El-Hadji Diouf and Matthew Taylor with Danny Guthrie coming back into the midfield area.
