The 27-year old is in talks with Wanderers about a £1 million switch to the Reebok Stadium and Trotters manager Sam Allardyce is hopeful of advancing negotiations in the next twenty four hours.
"We are talking to his representatives at the moment. That's the furthest we've got. We shall see how it goes on over the next 24 hours." said Allardyce to the official website.
Dunn began his career at Blackburn Rovers ten years ago and became one of the most sought after young players in the country due to his determination and dogged style. After over 130 games with Rovers he earned a big money move to Birmingham in the summer of 2003 and was also handed a solitary England cap against Portugal in the same year.
