The former Newcastle United schoolboy made his debut for the Midlands side as a substitute in their heavy FA Cup defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend and the experience is likely to stand him in good stead on his return to the Reebok.

Basham is a relative newcomer at Bolton having joined the Wanderers in the summer from his local side Chester-le-Street. He has already appeared a number of times for the reserves this season prior to moving to Marston Road.
