Aston Villa team news: Milan Baros will make his first visit to Anfield since leaving the club last summer. Steven Davis is likely to start after shaking off his hamstring problem as is Mellberg who came through the Manchester City game unscathed. Delaney, Berger and Hendrie will all miss out.

Liverpool team news: Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso and Peter Crouch are expected to start after being rested in midweek. Djibril Cisse will be hoping to retain his starting place but Luis Garcia will serve the first of his three-game suspension.
