"I don't want to give Gary any targets for a comeback."

Hibs take on  Ukrainian side Dnopro in the first leg at Easter Road on 15 September.

Hibs signed former Sparta Rotterdam player Humphrey Rudge to cover the absence of Caldwell.

But the Dutch defender has yet to play since the Easter Road side have kept clean-sheets in the three games since the defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.

Former Ipswich youngster Chris Hogg has been partnering Gary Smith at the centre of the Hibs defence.
