The transfer window may be closed, but a new manager would be allowed to bring in free agents. Past seasons have seen some of  the early bird money given to the manager to fund squad building.

Logic would suggest that the club will get a poor response We're struggling at the foot of the table with the prospect of Division 4 football. 

If the right appointment is made, and if Bonser was able to plough some of the revenue in to team building, then the new man might get a bit of space to maneuver in the Market.
