When Chris Westwood decided he wanted to a back to the Black Country, it was just as well that Paul Merson was a keen admirer. 

Merse hailed the Dudley born stopper as the divisions best defender and fought off competition from a host of rival clubs to secure his signature.

Within days of signing he was installed as Club captain. Two Play Off Finals in the last two seasons make him as qualified as anyone to lead us out of League One and back to the Championship. 

 

His leadership skills are second to none and his know how in this division will prove invaluable.
