And so it begins......
By WalsallFans.co.uk July 28 2007
Todays marks the first game back at the Banks;s since Promotion was secured last may. What wonders await the Walsall Faithful this season. The revolving door at the Banks's has caused heated debate on the many Saddlers Forums.

Out with the young, in the with old ?

Has the Arrival of more Senior players to replace the likes of Keates, Westwood, Wright and Sam been a good thing ?

History tells us that throwing a lorry load of young kids in doesn't work in the long run.

Let us not forget the excitement surrounding the "Bescot Babes" Leroy Williams, Daryl Taylor, Julian Bennett and Matt Fryatt during the Merson era.

Promotion Campaigns under Nicholl and Graydon have been built around good solid Senior pro's like Don Goodman, Neil Pointon, Andy Rammell and Kevin Wilson.

Hall, Sonner and Mooney aren't here for one last pay day and i think we all know from Richard Moneys first season in charge. He isn't going to take any nonsense.

So with an experianced back bone......Hall, Sonner, Mooney, Roper and Ince

Last years solid players.....Gerrard, Dobson, Fox

A smattering of exciting talent.......Dann, Demontagnac, Nicholls and Bradley

and that element of the unknown in Sonko and Caniero

Then the elements that have made for good exciting Walsall teams in the past are there for us to enjoy again.
