Coventry kids show their potential

COVENTRY'S Development side extended their winning run with a 63-17 victory over Rugby Lions Development at the Butts Park Arena. A mainly young Cov side led 17-12 at the break through tries from outstanding 17-year-old flanker Jordan Diston, Stuart Lee and Lee Parry, who also converted one, against four Craig Short penalties.

With the wind in their favour in the second half, Cov added eight further tries from Hendry Rheeders - returning from a calf injury - Sam Montague, Danny Freeman, Alex Stoijka, Matt Fielder, Diston, Steve Hughes and Rob Dugard, Montague kicking two conversions and Stoijka one, with Lions claiming a consolation try.
