Terrace Verdict - Moseley 9/2/08
By Mick Carter February 11 2008
On a glorious winter afternoon the two 'old enemy' teams took to the field, with the Blue & Whites of Coventry playing against the sun for the first stanza. For twenty minutes Cov's tactic of putting the ball into the corner seemed to be working well, but eventually some poor line-outs allowed Mose back into it.

Half time came with Cov in arrears to a resurgent Mose team, urged on by a vociferous home support. Cov, with the use of the sun this half, put a few high balls into the Mose twenty that were ably dealt with by the Moseley backs. Likewise, several altercations between the two teams were similarly dealt with by Mr Rowden and his touch judges.

Overall it was a game that Cov could have won, but the evident will-to-win of the Moseley team and the supporting faithful was enough to swing the result on the day.

The most pleasing thing for Coventry fans was the more combative style of play in use, rather than the performance of last week.

After off-field events of late last week it was good to see the club/team on the park.
