Speaking during the Fans Liaison Committee meeting this week, he went on to re-emphasise that the club can compete with most other championship clubs in terms of wages.
Manager Peter Taylor has been making enquiries to different clubs about possible players, but he is unable make any permanent signings until the transfer window opens again in January. Despite looking solid at the back the Tigers are proving toothless up front in recent games, and the fans are crying out for a goal scorer to keep the club away from relegation zone.
Ben Burgess ended the home scoring famine heading a fine goal in the 1-1 draw to Millwall last friday, but Taylor has admitted he is still edging his way back to full fitness after his 18 month injury lay-off and wont be rushed. Another injury victim has been summer signing Stephen McPhee - the good news is that the striker is back in training and looks set to appear once again in the next week or so once his hamstring has healed.
With loan signing Chris Brown now destined to stay-on another two months, Peter Taylor's striker options looks to have improved, but with money available to spend all City strikers must prove themselves and start scoring regularly to tie down a starting place.
Elsewhere it has emerged Liverpool offered the club John Welsh, who is currently on loan at the KC, in exchange for youth winger Paul Anderson - who was recently on trial at the Anfield club. However Pearson has initially refused, preferring any deal to include future payments and/or sell-on clauses.
