Fagan becomes a Tiger
By Hutchy February 28 2005
Hull City have signed Craig Fagan from Colchester United for a fee of around £125,000. The 22 year-old striker completed his move today after passing a medical and has agreed a 2 and a half year contract.

Birmingham-born Fagan, who has scored 14 goals this season for the U's, started his career at his home town team before moving to the Essex club in a deal which stipulates that the Blues collect a 30% sell-on cause.

He arrives at the KC Stadium with the reputation as a fiery competitor who received 26 yellow cards and 3 reds during his spell at Layer Road. However Tigers boss Peter Taylor is delighted with his new acquisition:

"I'm looking forward to working with him. He's a very good striker. He's got good movement, good pace and good intelligence and I'm sure he'll go down well with our supporters.

"I know we've been linked with other players but he's the one I've always wanted. I never thought I was going to get him after the initial deal fell through a few days ago.

"I'm delighted it's been sorted out. He will score goals and he'll make the team play."
