With the Old Firm not due to play till tomorrow afternoon Hearts had the chance to gotop of the League if they won at Fir Park but Craig Levien's side couldn't even manage a shot on target in the 90 minutes. Referee Alan Freeland awarded Motherwell a penalty on the hour mark after he judged that Steven Pressley had pulled Phil O'Donnell's shirt inside the penalty area. On loan winger Kevin McBride slotted the penalty past Craig Gordon. Phil O'Donnell then treated the home fans with a excellent strike from the edge of the box eight minutes later to seal the win. The 32 year old's goal could be a goal of the season contender ?
