Youths 1 – 2 Bury

In windy conditions, Doncaster Youths couldn’t managed to beat Bury team, who had to play 15 minutes with 10 men.

It was a good start for Rovers who took the lead through Andy Matthews after just 2 minutes after a close-range tap-in.

 

Eventually, both teams adjusted to the poor conditions and it was Bury who struck next on 24 minutes when poor marking by Rovers defence led to a cross being nodded in from close range.

 

Rovers had being playing with the wind and knew they had to score another before the half-time whistle but to no avail.

 

So Doncaster came out facing a harsh wind and Bury took the lead immediately due to a mix-up in the Rovers defence.

 

Rovers fought back but couldn’t find an equalising goal. They gained hope though when 15 minutes from time; Bury had a man sent off for use of his elbow but Bury held on to leave the Rovers with nothing.
