IPC World Swimming Championships 2006 - Day 6

Great Britain finished top of the medals table at the IPC World Swimming Championship as they recorded a final flourish of medals on the last day at the Kings Park Aquatic Centre in Durban, South Africa. Britain finished with a total of 24 Gold, 14 Silver and 14 Bronze. Welsh swimmers who all once swam for the Dragons D.S.C. made up 10 Gold, 1 Silver and 5 Bronze out of this total.

Dragons Coach David Roberts has won his fourth Gold medal of the 2006 IPC World Swimming Championships in Durban, on the last day of competition. He won the S7 50m Freestyle in a time just outside of the World Record. World Record holder Matt Walker was surprisingly beaten into Bronze medal with American swimmer Lantz Lamback separating the two British rivals in silver position. David then swam in the S7 50m Butterfly finishing seventh in a race won by Rong Tian of China.
