Tranmere Rovers are without the services of goalkeeper John Achterberg (groin) and Ian Goodison (suspension) for the visit of the league leaders but otherwise manager Brian Little has a full squad to choose from.

 

Southend United are without Bart Griemink (knee) and Luke Gutteridge (suspension) but have Lewis Kay, James Lawson, Jay Smith, Spencer Prior and Shaun Goater back in contention after injury lay-offs.

Tranmere go into Saturday’s clash against League One pace-setters Southend United on the back of a run that has seen them go six games unbeaten since just before Christmas and after a poor run of home form earlier in the season, the Whites are now unbeaten in their last four games at home having won two and drawn two.

 

The Shrimpers go into the game on an even longer unbeaten run having not lost for nine games home and away stretching back to their last defeat on December 3rd.  Their most recent success came last Saturday with a wonderful home win against League One away specialists Brentford.
