Team News

Tranmere Rovers are again without John Achterberg (stomach), Calvin Zola (back) and Chris Dagnall (leg) and now have doubts over striker Delroy Facey and defender Ian Goodison after both picked up knocks in the 0-0 draw with Walsall on Boxing Day.

Yeovil Town have their on-loan defender Liam Fontaine available again after a knee injury and therefore expected to have a full squad to choose from other than Darren Way (leg) who will not be fit.

Form Guide

 Tranmere Rovers:

Last Six At Home - DLWDLD

Last Six Games - DLDLDD

Yeovil Town:

Last Six Away - LDLLLW

Last Six Games - LLLWWD

Yeovil will go into Wednesday’s game at Prenton Park with four days rest behind them over the Christmas period after switching their Boxing Day home game with Bournemouth to last Friday evening.

Tranmere on the other hand fought a 0-0 draw at Walsall on Boxing Day in a game they ould quite easily have won if they had taken their chances.  Rovers however have not won at Prenton Park in the League since 29th August which has been one factor in their fall towards the bottom of the League Table.  They have managed two home wins in the LDV Vans Trophy against League Two opposition in recent months however.

Four of Rovers last six games at home and away have been draws whilst Yeovil ended a three match losing streak by then notching up two wins and a draw in their last three games.

This is the first ever meeting between the sides in any competition so whilst it is one for the history books, it also gives us little to compare between the sides other than current form.

The Hotshots

Tranmere Rovers: Chris Greenacre – 9 Goals

Yeovil Town: Phil Jevons – 7 Goals
