Rapid winger Jack MacKreth has already shown his worth for the youth team in scoring one of the goals of pre-season against Colwyn Bay, when he took on three or four men on the wing before slotting the ball past the ‘keeper and into the net.

A former spring champion, first year scholar MacKreth will give anybody a good race, and it is his pace that is his valuable asset, as it helps him to steam past defenders on the wing, either when he has the ball or when he is trying to get it.

Capable of scoring when in front of goal, MacKreth has a good shot and has been known to work well in a front trio with Ross Rule and Jamie Ashcroft, two other first year scholars.

MacKreth has the capabilities to create goals for Tranmere, as his pace is backed up by his excellent crossing ability.
