Another first year scholar, Tom Baker, not the one who played Doctor Who and does all the annoying voice-overs for Radio and TV commercials, is a centre-midfield who appears to come straight out of the Steven Jennings book of how to play football.

A very strong tackler, Baker has a good engine and looks to get forward as much as possible from his midfield position.

Capable of running from box to box consistently through the game, Baker is a valuable asset in midfield and when he gets the ball at his feet, he uses it well, often playing the simple but most useful pass, as well as being able to play passes that lead to Tranmere chances.
