First year scholar Alex Pursehouse is a defender, capable of playing at centre-back, right-back, or, if needed, at right-midfield, as was displayed in the pre-season friendly match at Flint Town in August 2008.

Strong in the tackle, Pursehouse is quick on the floor and uses the ball well, but, with Luke Denson ahead of him in the pecking order, he has a very hard task in making the right-back slot his own for the youth team.
