With an away win finally under their belts following last week's much deserved success at the Galpharm Stadium against Huddersfield Town, Tranmere have been left just a short amount of time to repeat the feat as another Saturday brings another away trip, this time a slightly further one to Peterborough.

Darren Ferguson's side have had an indifferent start to life in League One so far following their automatic promotion from League Two last season.  In the six matches so far they have won twice, lost twice and notched a draw in their last game away at Northampton Town.

Both of their wins have come at home including a thrilling 5-4 success at home to Bristol Rovers a fortnight ago when they took the lead four times in the game as Craig Mackail-Smith netted a hat-trick.

The other home game ended in 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool United and Rovers will be hoping they take the second scalp at London Road tomorrow.

Last time the sides met at London Road was in a League game back in August 2004 when Sagi Burton netted the only goal of the game for Posh with ten minutes remaining although Rovers exacted revenge the following March at Prenton Park when they thumped the visitors 5-0 with Paul Hall (2), Iain Hume, Jason McAteer and Theo Whitmore all getting in on the goal scoring act.

The most recent meeting though came in the FA Cup in December 2006 when Peterborough progressed to the third round with a 2-1 win at Prenton Park thanks to a brace from Danny Crow after Shane Sherriff had put Rovers ahead after half an hour.

The good news for Rovers is that Peterborough hotshot Aaron McLean is still unavailable after dislocating his elbow in that 5-4 thriller two weeks ago but the Superwhites will most likely find themselves up against Torres although it is Sergio Torres rather than the more famous Fernando.

If you are heading to the game tomorrow get behind the lads and let's hope for another performance like the second half of last week's game and more importantly another three points in the bag.
