Ahead of yet another pre-season friendly tomorrow away at Marine, Tranmere today announced that trialist Luke Waterfall who played in the midweek 6-2 friendly win at Heswall has signed for the Club permanently on a one-year deal.
Waterfall, who is 17 came through the youth team system at Championship side Barnsley and often impressed for their Reserve side, particularly last season.
The central defender has been training with the Club since the start of July and featured in two pre-season outings this week, firstly in the behind-closed-doors 0-0 draw at Wrexham on Tuesday and then in the 6-2 win over Heswall the following day.
Waterfall was also an unused substitute for the home pre-season opener against Liverpool last Saturday.
Speaking to the Official Tranmere Rovers Website, Ronnie Moore said of his latest addition...
"He has a promising future ahead of him and I'm delighted to be able to bring him to Tranmere."
Luke is expected to play some part in tomorrow's away friendly at Marine with Admission Prices being £5.00 for Adults and £2.00 for Juniors.
Meanwhile, we are also led to believe that Tranmere have all but signed another player who has recently been on trial in the shape of Charlie Barnett,
This signing has yet to be confirmed but is expected to be announced in the near future so stay tuned for further news on this,
