After a quiet spell on the transfer and rumour front, things seem to be hotting up again at Prenton Park with news that Rovers are close to at least two signings and possibly more ahead of Saturday's home friendly against Liverpool at Prenton Park.
According to local reports, Rovers reportedly gave a medical to former Walsall attacking midfielder Edrissa Sonko yesterday and are also taking a look in training at another ex-Bescot player in defender Michael Dobson who is thought to have signed a two year deal at the Club although confirmation of this is still awaited.

28 year-old Sonko began his career at Anderlecht and also played for Roda JC before joining Walsall in July 2007. He was released from the Bescot Stadium at the end of last season.
Michael Dobson is a year younger than Sonko and began his career at Brentford as a trainee before spending five months at Reading prior to joining Walsall in 2006 and spending two seasons there before being released at the end of the 2007/08 season.
It's reported that Rovers are also giving a trial to former Manchester United trainee and subsequent Blackburn Rovers defender John Curtis.
Curtis, 30, who would most likely be a replacement at right-back for the departed Robbie Stockdale is currently looking for his tenth professional club and is thought to have been training this week with the Rovers squad.
