Best or Worst Poll (3) Results – FA Cup Classics

Time once again for our ‘Best or Worst’ poll series as we ask you which was the better of two FA Cup Classics which both involved Tranmere in the same season. Both were Cup upsets against Everton and Southampton but which was better and most enjoyable game in your opinion?

After two weeks of voting the time has now come to announce the results of the most recent poll in our ‘Best or Worst' Series.

A fortnight ago we asked you ‘Which was Better - The 3-0 win at Everton or the 4-3 Comeback against Southampton?' and the results in the end were extremely close as users of the site found it hard to decide between the two games.

The results were as follows.........

Question: Which was Better? 3-0 at Everton or 4-3 v Southampton?

3-0 v Everton (A)

48.89%

4-3 v Southampton (H)

51.11%

An almost equal split saw the comeback against Southampton at Prenton Park from 3-0 down to win 4-3, just edge it over the 3-0 win over Mersey neighbours Everton in their own back yard.

Beating a Premiership team and near neighbours to boot at their own Ground is a special occasion but it would appear that coming back from 3-0 down against a then Premiership team to win 4-3 is slightly more special.

As a reminder, we launched our latest site poll in yesterday as we temporarily moved away from the Best or Worst Series to ask you the question ‘Should Robbie Stockdale have been released at the end of the season?'

Once again the poll is designed to keep some form of debate going on our Message Forum during what is traditionally a quiet time of the year in the close season so don't take the debate too seriously but let's discuss the finer points of both games mentioned!       

The results of this latest poll will be announced two weeks tomorrow (Wednesday), with the newest poll in the series being revealed the day before on the Tuesday (two weeks today).

The poll can be found on all the pages of this Site either at the bottom of the Homepage or on the bottom of the right hand side menu depending on which page of the site you are viewing at the time.
