Tranmere Rovers v Nottingham Forest Match Thread
By Deadly Submarine April 12 2008
Here is your chance to discuss all things related to Tranmere’s home game against Notts Forest on Saturday. If you are not going to the game and will be on the internet, why not discuss Tranmere’s game and other League One scores during the course of the 90 minutes?

Forest Match Thread

At Total Tranmere, we always like to take note of feedback from the users of the site and respond to it in the best way we can.  One thing we have picked up on more recently is that after Tranmere Games there seem to be a lot of different threads that get started about the same game.

As a result of this feedback, from now on we will be introducing Match Threads for every occasion when Tranmere play.

Stadium Tranmere

Rovers Play Host to Nottingham Forest at Prenton Park on Saturday

Tranmere will be playing at home to Nottingham Forest at Prenton Park, in an important play-off chasing game for both sides and you can use the Message Board facility below to post any pre-match comments as well as any points during the game should you be unable to attend for yourself.

The Match Thread can also be used for any post-match comments for people who have been to the game and maybe wish to rate the Players or just give their views on the performance, the result and the overall situation for Rovers.

Why not also use this facility to discuss other League One games and scores that kick-off at 3.00pm which may or may not have an effect on Tranmere too.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focussed on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Well that spells the end of any lingering playoff hopes. To be fair we were playing well until the first goal, which looked like an error from Danny. We still played well until half time, but the second half was terrible. We didn't really create enough and its a shame Zola was injured today as he would have caused their backline more problems than Greenacre and Moore did. Oh well I never really thought we were good enough to make it, will be interesting now to see what happnes in the summer!

Looks like Play-offs are now out of the question. I know Gareth Taylor used to get a lot of stick on here but when he left we were in a play-off position...what do peole think now? He got Man of the Match against Swindon last night - for a team who are still looking for automatic promotion...

I was a big critic of Taylor but if were gona just hoof it then we may aswell do it to someone who has a chance of winning the header!

TBH I Dont think we should be thinking WHAT AND IF this had happened we would be there.

Yes i think Gareth Taylor played well last night but just because our strikers didnt score today, we lost, and more or less out of the play off picture doesnt mean you should start bringing up Gareth Taylor and what he could of done because i think the result would of been the same.

What happens, happens, dont begin critising and jumping on the band wagon when things go bad, because without him he have done fantastic anyway.

Gutted bout Jenno and McLaren suspended, Kay will slot in midfield with Mullin or possible Ahmed givin a chance against his old club??

Ahmed will take his chance against his former Club with any luck and maybe even get a goal against them.

He has looked impressive in pre-season, Reserves and first team when he has played this season so I'm hoping he will do well.

Interesting point about Taylor above too!

I notice no critisism for Kay, like Chorley gets, for hoofing it so much today. Also, why did Goodison have to hook the ball out to Sherriff every time. The lad couldn't get a cross in a game of noughts and crosses let alone on a football field.

The last three games are just pride Now, nothing to play for tbh!

Might asewll give ahmed, curran, even achterberg a go!

And also Kay was hoofing the ball alot of times yesterday and hasnt been great lately, but sometimes you feel more carmer to have him there than Chorly, but lately Chorly has done well!
