Chelsea Confirm £19.7M Robinho Bid

ROBINHO
By dixon9 August 7 2008
The Chelsea Football Club official web site has confirmed that we have made a £19.7million bid for the Real Madrid forward Robinho. As far as we can be aware, this is the first time during the long saga and pursuit of the young Brazilian that we have actually made a bid.

Scolari has said that he wants Robinho and the player himself has publicly expressed his wish to come to the Bridge, meanwhile Real Madrid, their fans and manager Schuster insist they want to keep Robinho.

The situation has now become more uncomfortable with the recent injury of Wesley Sneijder during the Emirates Cup tournament.

Robinho, Real Madrid

The amount seems lower than anticipated and the CL player list deadline for the group stage is at thend of the month.

Real Madrid aren’t flush for cash at the moment and know that Chelsea would almost certainly withdraw interest once the CL deadline passes - a January signing isn´t desirable in the least for Chelsea or Real Madrid (Robinho would be worth less).

Expect a hurried poker game over the next few days.

Robino is a good player and tallent player but if Robino

Will these two say the same about Robinho?!!! :

May 23: Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said: "If a player decides to leave he is unstoppable. Slavery was abolished a long time ago and nobody can prevent a player from moving. If Manchester want to sell him (Ronaldo), we can pay what they ask."

July 10: FIFA president Sepp Blatter said: "In football, there is too much modern slavery. I'm always in favour of protecting the player. If he wants to leave, let him."

"Robinho on point of breaking with Madrid'' says Marca today.

Feels badly treated, and ready to ask Calderon for permission to leave the club.

In constant touch with his agent Wagner Ribeiro from Madrid's base in Bogota, hoping to arrange a meeting with club management to sort out his future.

"He calls me every day to find out if there's been any progress" says Ribeiro.

"Robinho is very fed up about the way Real Madrid management are treating him. He has the aim of being the best player in the world, but he won't be able to achieve that at Madrid because they treat him as an ordinary player."
