As always when SAF makes his remarks about 'not being worried' about Chelsea's title challenge - you know damm well he is holding 24 hour round the clock bunker meetings making plans to outwit the 'new-boy.'
Funny how he hasn't dismissed Arse's challenge yet, or is that for tomorrow?
As far as I am concerned SAF can spout his mouth as much as he likes.
He is, you have to admit great entertainment and he is a great read and a great laugh, the old 'git,' and a great manager nonetheless.
The 'new boy' to the Premiership, our 'new boy' got his Chelsea career off to a great start with a resounding 4-0 victory against the Pharmaceuticals in the heat and severe humidity of Guangzhou, this afternoon (UK time).
With the majority of a fit squad available, 'Big Phil' selected his strongest starting eleven, including Essien, Lampard and Deco in the same midfield with Mikel taking over the 'Makelele' role, a role which Mikel has been groomed for since his 'nasty' transfer (oh SAF again) from Norway three years ago.
Cech started in goal, Ashley Cole was at left back and Bosingwa made his debut at right-back. In the centre of defence was Captain JT and Ricky and up front was Anelka and Kalou.
Apart from an insecure first two minutes, Chelsea dominated the play, possession and had their fair share of chances and during the course of the game, Chelsea hit the woodwork THREE times.
If there is a Chelsea fan with doubts about the rumours of Super Frank's commitment to the club whilst rumours circulating the planet about him joining Jose at the San Siro - forget it!!!
Super Frank played today like it was his first game for the club amd not his last. Frank will not let us down if we are to believe that this will be his last year.
Certainly 'Big Phil' will keep him in check and no doubt his dad, Frank Lampard Snr, will do too. One newspaper reported this morning that Chelsea have 'caved in' and agreed to Super Frank's demands.
Kalou opened the scoring after a sublime through ball from Super Frank.

Frank himself scored with a 25 yard chip in the second-half and further goals from Di Santo (his first in senior Chelsea colours) and from Shaunie, rounded off an interesting day for 'Big Phil' and his men.

And yes we all know there are sterner tests to come!!
