Pharmaceuticals 0-4 Chelsea + Video Highlights
By Since66 July 23 2008
And so the verbal diarrhoea discharging from the mouth of SAF has begun. He is in South Africa with his team, we are in China. I wonder if SAF faxed his comments to 'Big Phil' about Chelsea 'being too old' to win the title this coming season and that SAF 'isn't worried about Chelsea's title challenge.'

As always when SAF makes his remarks about 'not being worried' about Chelsea's title challenge - you know damm well he is holding 24 hour round the clock bunker meetings making plans to outwit the 'new-boy.'

Funny how he hasn't dismissed Arse's challenge yet, or is that for tomorrow?

As far as I am concerned SAF can spout his mouth as much as he likes.

He is, you have to admit great entertainment and he is a great read and a great laugh, the old 'git,' and a great manager nonetheless.

The 'new boy' to the Premiership, our 'new boy' got his Chelsea career off to a great start with a resounding 4-0 victory against the Pharmaceuticals in the heat and severe humidity of Guangzhou, this afternoon (UK time).

With the majority of a fit squad available, 'Big Phil' selected his strongest starting eleven, including Essien, Lampard and Deco in the same midfield with Mikel taking over the 'Makelele' role, a role which Mikel has been groomed for since his 'nasty' transfer (oh SAF again) from Norway three years ago.

Cech started in goal, Ashley Cole was at left back and Bosingwa made his debut at right-back. In the centre of defence was Captain JT and Ricky and up front was Anelka and Kalou.

Apart from an insecure first two minutes, Chelsea dominated the play, possession and had their fair share of chances and during the course of the game, Chelsea hit the woodwork THREE times.

If there is a Chelsea fan with doubts about the rumours of Super Frank's commitment to the club whilst rumours circulating the planet about him joining Jose at the San Siro - forget it!!!

Super Frank played today like it was his first game for the club amd not his last. Frank will not let us down if we are to believe that this will be his last year.

Certainly 'Big Phil' will keep him in check and no doubt his dad, Frank Lampard Snr, will do too. One newspaper reported this morning that Chelsea have 'caved in' and agreed to Super Frank's demands.

Kalou opened the scoring after a sublime through ball from Super Frank.

Super Sol

Frank himself scored with a 25 yard chip in the second-half and further goals from Di Santo (his first in senior Chelsea colours) and from Shaunie, rounded off an interesting day for 'Big Phil' and his men.

Super Shaun
DI SANTO

And yes we all know there are sterner tests to come!!

aka Victoria Meldrew. (CFCUK fanzine. She writes regularly for them) and if stories are true..... there will be no more CFCUK fanzine.

She was one of the faces I recognised which I mentioned yesterday.

Carefree - we must have been on the same trains LOL

She goes absolutely everywhere with her partner how the hell they can afford is beyond me LOL. Good luck to them.

Alan Hansen on Fergie gobbing off:

He said: “Alex is the master of mind games, he is testing Phil Scolari out — Chelsea will be his biggest rivals, no doubt. He is just getting set for the start of the season.

“Chelsea have a new manager, a big presence and are a big threat. He’s saying let’s see what you’re made of.”

Manchester United boss Fergie triggered a storm by claiming new Stamford Bridge chief Scolari has inherited a team of has-beens who will not threaten his plan to retain the title.

It even upset organisations like Help The Aged — as revealed in SunSport yesterday.

Hansen famously slipped up by insisting ‘you win nothing with kids’ after United’s class of 1995 lost to Aston Villa on the opening day — and went on to win the Double.

But he added: “Now it seems you’ll never win anything with the older generation.

“Fergie doesn’t talk about anyone liable to finish eighth. He is trying to put pressure on Scolari.

"At the right time Fergie says the right thing. Whether it’s Scolari, Arsene Wenger, Rafa Benitez or refs, whenever he says it there is a meaning.”
