Robinho Agent Flies in Again to Meet Arnesen

ROBINHO
By dixon9 July 9 2008
Real Madrid winger Robinho´s agent Wagner Ribeiro flew in to London yesterday to meet once again with Chelsea Sporting Director, Frank Arnesen and discuss a move to Stamford Bridge. Scolari wants Robinho and no doubt sees the player as one of the options to bring a more aesthetic but winning style of football to Chelsea.

Yesterday was a busy day all round it seems – Scolari´s first press conference, his announcement that he wanted to keep Lampard – ditto Drogba, and then of course the media and club fracas after Lampard´s agent Kutner announced that by no means was his players continuance at the Bridge assured…And of course (although we didn´t know it at the time), the beginning of Arsenen´s 2nd meeting with Robinho.

Ribeiro and Robinho were very annoyed with regard to Real Madrid President Calderon’s attitude and will to use Robinho as a bargaining chip in the Ronaldo deal – it now looks possible that Calderon, because of his typical ham-fisted way of behaving in the media over transfer targets, will not only fail to sign Ronaldo but also lose one of his own star players .

Still, a deal is not done until it’s done – and Real Madrid are holding firm over a 36M euro (26.8 million quid!) price tag.

If we do get Robinho then excellent – but please someone have a word with him about the sucking thumb celebration when he scores?!

[quote noblecj]robinho definatley should come to the bridge, this kid has tallent he will take the premier league by surprise with his skill and tallent... robinho will link up well with drogba.. possibly even anelka and the midfield will enjoy playing with him as he makes his own space and creates his own chances at goal. with ronaldo leaving manchester united towards the end of august (bound to happen) robinho will excite the premier league and chelsea will be able to win back their title. bring him to the bridge as soon as possible so he can get to no all the chelsea players.. drogba is out for the start of the season so we need a good striker to ensure that we beat pompy and wigan... Robinho can do this, he is a great asset to football and he will bring his skill and tallent to the premier league. come to the bridge!
