Any complaints about the number of away games after CL games?

Yes, there’s been a few moves by the Premier League with respect to the PL/CL matches; as you say, the FA Cup final is after the CL final which is a good idea - should an English team get to the final they don’t have to knacker themselves beforehand with an intense FA Cup final (should they be in it) - so that’s a good idea.

As for making matches against the other current top 4 teams directly after playing a CL game? Well, it does make things fairer for these teams playing in the PL BUT it actually prejudices our English teams in the CL compared to their European rivals – for example, we could be playing Man Utd straight after a CL game against say, Real Madrid, who in turn, perhaps only have to play Malaga at home after playing us.

Man Utd play away to Liverpool and ourselves in the first 5 games (!), Arsenal play against Man Utd and us in May (so the PL doesn’t envisage any shift in the power base do they?!). (In fact, away to Arsenal in May is our only really difficult match in that crucial month).

Our second home game is against Spurs – that’ll be a cracker!

Interesting time ahead for chelsea supporters, not sure who will go and who will stay .... new manager etc ... be interesting to see how this guy changes the structure of play at chelsea (interesting season ahead)

It will be an interesting time for us (and for yourselves no doubt with any developments on the Hicks/Gillette rift, new stadium...and some new players?).

I´m very pleased with the Scolari appointment - a LOT of positives. My only concern is that he is a bit of a loose cannon - the English media will go for the jugular - will he be able to handle it?

There´s going to be a change in system/style of play with at least 3 new faces in the first team. I can see it possibly hindering us at the beginning of the season - growing pains - and it will probably cost us the league. Europe however...very optimistic about that.

As for Liverpool, Benitez seems to be digging in hard and swallowing a lot in the process. I imagine Parry has told him to stand firm until they achieve what the majority want - H&G to sell to DIC and the new stadium to begin in earnest.

If I was to put a neutral hat on, I´d say its a shame that a club has to move from it´s stadium - a shame the origonal site cannot be developed.

Still, it could happen to us in the near future....time will tell if we can stay at the Bridge or not.
