Match Round-Up:
Despite Wade Elliott leaving the pitch on the 12th minute with an injury, the Clarets made a great start with a goal through Garreth O'Connor from 20 yards out on the 28th minute. The scoreline was doubled almost 10 minutes after via a Wayne Thomas header. Burnley fans couldn't believe their luck when Burnley were awarded a penalty and Steven Hughes was dismissed for foul and abusive language. However, Gifton Noel-Williams took the penalty, sending the ball flying over the away stand.
The second half was quiet until just before full time, Ade Akinbiyi scores two goals in 3 minutes, sealing the game for the Clarets making it 4-0.

What can you say? Never would the most optimistic claret have ever thought that would happen. But it did! For large parts of the game we had passing from one end to the other, wing play, turning defenders and more.Listening to Clarets World over midfield were excellent. Congratulations to Chris McCann on a solid debut. And even Branch sounded happier at left back.OK 1 result doesn't make a season etc. We do need players urgently etc etc. BUT don't things look a whole lot better tonight!UTC
