Supporters Trust Given Yes Vote

In a meeting held in the James Hargreaves Suite to arrange whether fans wanted a supporters trust, the supporters that turned up gave a unanimous yes vote.

The afternoon consisted of an introduction from Tony Jo who chaired the open meeting followed by talks from Kevin Rye of Supporters Direct, Warren Brierley of Rochdale Supporters' Trust and the co-ordinators of the then, proposed trust, Tony Scholes and Dave Roberts.

After the talks about Supporters' Trusts, how they work and what they can achieve, there was a Question and Answer session answered well by the group on the head table.

This was followed by the vote which was given a unanimous Yes vote.

The committee who have since January been organising things leading up to this meeting are said to be relieved and glad that the fans have chosen unanimously to have a supporters' trust for Burnley FC and allowing the fans to have a greater say in how the club is run.

Keep watching the website and we'll bring you all the latest news on the trust as soon as we get it.
